Other Ways to Get Help

If you have a specific question about the DBE or ACDBE application process — such as which documents to submit, how long certification takes, or whether your business qualifies — the fastest way to get an answer is to contact your regional certifying agency directly. California has eight certifying agencies, and each handles applications for businesses in its geographic area.

You can find the full list of agencies, along with their contact information and service areas, on our certifying agencies page. If you are unsure which agency serves your area, Caltrans (the California Department of Transportation) processes applications statewide and can direct you to the correct office.

For questions about federal DBE regulations, personal net worth calculations, or the CUCP program itself, visit the official California Unified Certification Program website at ucp.dot.ca.gov. The official site also hosts the statewide DBE directory, where you can verify a firm's certification status.

Business owners who need hands-on assistance preparing their application can also reach the Southwest Small Business Transportation Resource Center at (916) 443-5957 or visit a local Small Business Development Center (SBDC) for free guidance.
